Varun said that the CD was part of a scheme to ruin his political profession and smudge his worldly image."Who has made it (CD)? It has been doctored and is a malicious attempt to brand me communal. There is no question of my having differences with any community. Where was the CD for 12 days and why was it released on March 16?" he asked.
Maneka the mother of Varun has been in news for using government buildings for campaigning for which she gets notices as notices have been issued to three others Samajwadi Party candidate from Aonla Dharmendra Kashyap, BSP candidate from Badaun D P Yadav and a local BJP leader D K Bharadwaj on a similar charge.
"The SDM has given three days to all of them to remove the wall paintings failing which action will be taken against them as per the Model Code of Conduct," they said.
The EC had ordered filing of two FIRs against Maneka's 29-year-old son Varun, who is contesting form Pilibhit, for his anti-Muslim speeches.
