Leadership crisis in BJP

BJP on way to rebuild its leadership after their senior leaders vent out their feeling and being heard by the national excutives today will bring new dimension to the party and the coterie abide to democrative process. Internal crisis after the BJP diluted performance in 2009 General election is seen as party trying to get to system from appointment lobby to democratic structure which is in process being
worked out after delibration on smart coterie poor performance.

National president of BJP Rajnath Singh finds his new powers and thus allows free and frank deliberations to put up the complaints of senior leaders in BJP being left out in decesion making process and on the party’s poll debacle at a two-day BJP national executive meet beginning Saturday to arrive a better democratic form.

“We don’t want to stop anybody. We believe in discussion as we are a democratic party,” BJP spokesperson Prakash Javadekar said on Friday after a meeting of the party’s central office-bearers.

BS Koshiyari's resignation from the Rajya Sabha,Jaswant Singh,Yashwant Sinha questioning the democratic norms in appointment to key post and Sudheendra Kulkarni, an aide of Lal Krishna Advani, has accused the Sangh Parivar groups, in an open letter, of messing the campaign by projecting Modi as a possible alternative. Yashwant Sinha further questioning "We are shying away from pinpointing our
weaknesses and fixing responsibility," announced his resignation as vice-president of the party. "Those who were responsible for the management of the campaign have already made their views public through interviews and articles in the media, drawn their conclusions,apportioned blame, and given themselves a clean chit," Sinha lamented.

Arun Shourie demands an open discussion on the party's Lok Sabha poll debacle that has turned the party into a badly divided house.Senior leader Jaswant Singh tried to circulate Shourie's letter but was stopped from doing so by his other senior party colleagues.Shourie, in his letter to party chief Rajnath Singh, is believed to have said that mismanaging the party's affairs and seeking to muzzle dissent the
party should not shying away from an open assessment of the electoral debacle along with allegations of corruption had also been there thus demanded transparency in the functioning of the party.He further endorsed Yashwant Sinha's objection to the appointments of L K Advani as the Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Arun Jaitley as the Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha, as well as Sushma Swaraj as
deputy leader of party in the Lok Sabha.

Shourie is believed to have raised questions about accountability in the party and the decision-making structure and expressed the view that "conspirators" have taken over the party.He also wanted circulation of letters written by Yashwant Sinha and Jaswant Singh in the wake of the election defeat for discussion by members of the
national executive.
