Shibu Soren Jharkhand CM with 2 Deputy CM

Shibu Soren, heading a five-party coalition, was today sworn in as Jharkhand chief minister for the third time by Governor K Sankanarayanan.JMM supremo Shibu Soren, NDA coalition this time now 65-year-old was administered oath of office and secrecy by the Governor at the Morabadi ground here.BJP Jharkhand unit president Raghubar Das and AJSU chief Sudesh Mahato were sworn in as ministers along with Soren. Raghubar Das of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Sudesh Mahto of the All Jharkhand Students Union (AJSU)are the two deputy chief ministers.

The southern part of Bihar on 15 November 2000 the tribal belt now Jharkhand state has seen six CM in nine years.JMM supremo Shibu Soren has taken oath to be the seventh CM of Jharkhand state as per AIR News.He has been given 10 days time to prove his five-party coalition's majority on the floor of the Assembly after he takes oath as Chief Minister of Jharkand on Wednesday.A Raj Bhavan communique said on Monday night that Governor K Sankaranaryanan has asked the 65-year-old two-time chief minister to take a floor test by 8th January.Soren was invited by the Governor on Sunday to form the government.Soren's coalition got the support of 44 MLAs with JMM having 18, BJP 18, JD(U) 2, AJSU 5 and Jharkhand Janadhikar Manch one.

JMM-led coalition with a support of 46 MLAs, in the 81-member Assembly.The oath-taking time has been re-scheduled from 2 PM to 10.30 AM, the communique said.The new government is likely to have three ministers from JMM and four from BJP, sources in the coalition said, adding there could be two deputy chief ministers-- one from the BJP and another from the AJSU.

As per the Constitutional requirement, there can be 12 ministers including the CM in the 81-member state assembly.Soren also went to Mumbai for a meeting with the new BJP president Nitin Gadkari after which he said the new alliance will provide a "stable government.""Our efforts will be to provide a clean and stable government. Jharkhand is a mineral rich state but the people remain poor. Our efforts will be to uplift the poor," the JMM.chief said at a joint press conference with Gadkari in Mumbai.

The Centre has recommended lifting of President's Rule in Jharkhand, to pave the way, for the formation of a new government in the state.A decision to this effect was taken by the Union Cabinet which met in New Delhi last evening. Mr Soren had twice before been the Jharkhand chief minister, but as the head of the UPA. This is for the first time that he heading the government with the help of the NDA. Incidentally, he was the chief minister till the President's rule was imposed in the state in January.
