William and Kate's first child to inherit throne

Eldest child of Prince William and his wife Kate will inherit the throne - even if it is a girl. British Prime Minister David Cameron announced this in Perth, Australia on Friday after the CHOGM meet approved changes to the rules of succession to allow first-born daughters to inherit the British throne.

The changes will also allow heirs who marry Roman Catholics to inherit the throne. Mr. Cameron said, male primogeniture rule will now go so that in future the order of succession should be determined by the order of birth. Mr Cameron also held talks with the 15 other realms with the queen as head of state.
